We manage to miss the sun so much that we absorb the heat of its rays with excessive greed, and this is dangerous for the heart and blood vessels.
The fact is that in the heat the heart tends to “pump” blood at an accelerated pace, because the blood - due to the loss of fluid by the body - thickens, becomes less oxygenated and can provoke hypoxia and fainting, even if you are not in a stuffy transport and hovering on a bed upside down under the scorching sun.
Vascular dystonia - in conditions of "thickened" blood and lymph - is fraught with the appearance of a blood clot and blockage of the vessel.
A good prevention that helps to normalize blood circulation is to regularly consume fresh vegetable juices, especially beetroot, carrot, celery or apple. The replenishment of the required moisture level is combined with the entry into the blood of the necessary trace elements, primarily magnesium, an ambulance for the heart muscle. By the way, this element at the same time normalizes the emotional background and soothes the nervous system.
Well, of course, moderation in contact with the sun is necessary: do not expose yourself to its rays during the period of maximum radioactivity (from 11:00 to 16:00), avoid overheating (especially the head) and sunburn.
In order not to sunbathe, use sunscreens with a protection factor of at least 15. If your skin after exposure to the sun is still red and inflamed, take a cool bath. A tablet of aspirin or paracetamol will help relieve pain. Drink more water to compensate for the loss of fluid, after the bath, apply moisturizing and cooling products to the body, designed to care for the skin after exposure to the sun. A proven way to relieve burning, redness and pain is to sprinkle burnt places with thermal water for the face without perfume; also helps with aloe gel and body milk “after sun”, which contains zinc.
Take care of your head!
In the heat, the body loses too much fluid and salt and the body may not be able to cope with overheating. Its symptoms: headache, dizziness, sensation "darkened in the eyes", nausea and muscle weakness. In this case, you need to firmly move to a cool and darkened room, lie down, drink mineral or slightly salted water. If you do not take urgent measures immediately, heat stroke can occur - a condition that seriously threatens health, in which the mechanism responsible for the thermoregulation of the body is destroyed.
From heat to cold
Doctors justifiably attribute colds and sore throats (which, we recall, is an acute infectious disease) to seasonal summer diseases. Weakened local immunity is exacerbated by the temperature changes that we expose to in the summer, abusing ice drinks and desserts and switching several times a day from the 30-degree heat to the 18-degree air-conditioned coolness of the office, store or car interior, without even thinking about the appropriate “equipment” ".
What to do?
The main recommendation is to try to use the air conditioner as little as possible, do not abuse it in cars and rooms where you spend a lot of time. If this is not possible, take into account the experience of residents of hot countries, where it is customary to take a windbreaker with you, for example, when going to the cinema, because in the halls it is usually much colder than on the street. A light woolen cloak, scarf or neckerchief, which is always at hand when a cold snap is planned, is a reliable way of prevention.
It should be remembered that air conditioners carry a health hazard, not only creating the effect of a “contrast shower". Another reason is that the air conditioner infinitely “scrolls” the same air, in which the concentration of harmful microorganisms gradually increases.
